The Alameda County Board of Supervisors will issue a Proclamation for Palestinian Cultural Day. This is a first for Alameda County, but follows the lead of Santa Clara County which celebrated its Eleventh Annual Palestinian Cultural Day on May 15, 2012.

The Alameda County Board of Supervisors Proclamation of Palestinian Cultural Day was originally scheduled for June 5, 2012, before it was abruptly pulled from the agenda after an extremist smear campaign.
Fortunately, three out of four Alameda County supervisors now acknowledge the need to recognize Palestinian residents of Alameda County and that Palestinian culture is an integral part of the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Alameda County.
Please join Palestinian residents of Alameda County in recognizing their existence and cultural heritage!
The closest BART station is Lake Merritt. Walk 4 blocks northeast on Oak Street to the Alameda County Administration Building.
Please arrive early to ensure getting a seat.
