Talk by Munes Tomeh on the current situation in Syria and what drove the uprising. Tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands of Syrians have since been detained, tortured and killed. Learn about what has really been taking place that you do not hear about in the media and how Syria can move forward to an equal and stable society
Munes Tomeh is a patent attorney based in San Jose. Since the beginning of the Arab Spring,
Munes has been involved in helping to organize solidarity with various uprisings from Tunisia to Yemen. Growing up as a Syrian, and seeing the fear that Syrians have lived with for decades, the Syrian uprising has inspired him to try to mobilize the Syrian American community to help end the repression of the Assad regime. He is currently the president of the Northern California chapter of the Syrian American Council.
Suggested Donation $5-10
