Andrés Gómez, a leader in Miami's progressive Cuban community, has courageously stood up for Cuba's right to self-determination despite threats and the danger of advocating Cuba's right to exist in a city where anti-Cuba terrorists reign. He is coordinator of the Antonio Maceo Brigade, an organization of Cubans who live in the U.S. and support the Cuban Revolution. He is editor of the online magazine "Areitodigital" and a leader in the struggle to free the Cuban Five political prisoners, unjustly imprisoned in the United States.
