US House Budget Committee Chair Paul Ryan is in San Francisco raising money for the GOP and publicizing his budget plan, “Path to Prosperity,” which would end Medicare as we know it, gut Medicaid’s medical care for the poor, and start privatizing Social Security. His plan passed the House and is headed to the Senate, where it must be defeated.
