Berkeley city council will be voting on Berkeley police policies and mutual aid agreements on May 15th. It is the recommendation of the Coalition For A Safe Berkeley that the city not enter any Federal mutual aid or intelligence gathering program which is not put in writing - no secret agreements.
Other community recommendations include:
+ Decriminalize non-violent political protest
+ No police profiling due to ethnicity, religion, disability, gender/sexual identity, political activity
+ Demilitarize the police and stop the police arms race
