The day start off with total instigation by the Oakland Police Department (OPD) when I arrived near Wells Fargo they (OPD) was trying to kettle the peaceful protesters. When the medicine (sage) was lit the protesters were able to get out and continue on to Wells Fargo where the police tried to arrest someone for simply chaulking on the side of the building. The protesters quickly surrounded (in a non threatening way) the illegal arrest and eventually he was let go. While this was going on an OPD officer got out of his car cocking his shotgun in a very threatening way. At this point I with medicine in hand step between the crowd and the officer and advise the officer to calm down. We continued thru the streets until we arrived at the location of the cop (warehouse) bar where an individual took the Amerikkklan flag off the bar and eventually tearing it to shreads and mopping the streets with the rest. The media tried to get me to admit I was the individual but I would only say what I felt about the country that killed my people and stole the land. We arrived back in Oscar Grant Plaza where they (OPD) tried to take the intersection of 14th and Broadway which we again with sage in hand chased the officers out of the intersection but only after some of the motorcycle cops tried to hit me. Running low on sage I left to go and get more and on return the intersection had been retakened by OPD and now other agencies. Over a megaphone they advised to disperse the area at this point I told them to "F*** off, you hall moniters" and that was the end of my day. We were winning up to that point without the Labor unions which I never saw a presence on their day. I have respect for ASCME labor union but the others are playing us (Oakland Occupation). The Bridge workers pulling out at the last moment and the ILWU stealing 14,000 for the port closure and we want that money back.
