Walking Tour of West Berkeley Housing Cooperatives: Co-ops create affordable housing!

Celebrate International Year of the Cooperative with a walking tour of four housing cooperatives in West Berkeley. Sunday May 20, 2 PM to 5 PM, starts at Ninth Street Co-op at 1714 Ninth Street near Virginia St. See first-hand how housing cooperatives create permanently affordable, resident-controlled home ownership by taking housing out of the speculative real estate market. Each co-op will be hosting an open house with tours, speakers, and refreshments. This event is sponsored by Bay Area Community Land Trust and is part of East Bay Housing Organizations' annual Affordable Housing Week.
