The goal: To bring together the resources, skills and materials to complete the renovation of the Uhuru House in East
Oakland.
UHURU JIKO (FREEDOM KITCHEN): The campaign to renovate the Uhuru House will create a cutting edge meeting space as well as a licensed commercial kitchen accessible to the African community.
UHURU HOUSE: The Uhuru House represents more than 30 years of campaigns led by the Black Power Movement to win African community control of the economy, housing, health care, education and police. The Uhuru House represents the interests of the working class African people, putting in place programs for self-reliance and community economic development.

* Experienced in any phase of construction
* Phone donations campaign
* Or desire to learn
