Meet Peace and Freedom Party Presidential Candidates and/or their representatives on Tuesday, April 17th at a reception and forum at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts in San Francisco
The preferential primary election will be held on Tuesday June 5th, voters who are registered Peace and Freedom Party, or will be by May 21st, will have the opportunity to vote for one of the following candidates:
Stewart Alexander, nominee of the Socialist Party U.S.A.
Ross C. "Rocky" Anderson, nominee of the Justice Party
Stephen Durham, nominee of the Freedom Socialist Party
and Peta Lindsay, nominee of the Party for Socialism and Liberation*
*at this time the Secretary of State’s Office has refused to place Peta Lindsay’s name on the ballot, litigation to correct that is ongoing and the Party is optimistic that the Secretary of State’s office will not succeed in overriding the rights of our registered voters.
Please join us on Tuesday, April 17th at 7:00pm
The Mission Cultural Center is located at 2868 Mission Street, near the 24th Street BART station. The event is on the second floor gallery and is wheelchair accessible.
For those interested in what the ballot will look like for the so-called “Top Two” June Primary election, the link below will take you to an article from Monday’s SF Chronicle
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2012/04/09/BATJ1NVGBS.DTL
The article does not mention the lawsuit filed by Peace and Freedom Party along with members of the Green and Libertarian Parties to overturn Proposition 14, the “Top Two Primary." Check out our website at http://www.peaceandfreedom.org for more information on our lawsuit.
