OSC Hosts Occupy Art Show at Resource Center for Nonviolence
On April 6, community members gathered at the Resource Center for Nonviolence for the opening reception of "Occupy Art", an exhibition of art from Occupy Santa Cruz. In addition to art, photography, and protest relics from the movement, spoken word performances were held. Later in the evening, Brent Adams previewed the documentary film he has been editing from hundreds of hours of footage he shot charting the rise of Occupy Santa Cruz, which featured footage of the OSC camp, the Occudome, brushes with the authorities, and explorations of distortions in the corporate media's coverage of a variety of events.
The exhibition is ongoing through the month of April at the Resource Center for Nonviolence, which is located at 612 Ocean Street in Santa Cruz.

...but where is the wall containing my ever-informative fliers? Eh?!
I can't help but feel that these photos overemphasize excessive use of the fish-eye, thus diluting the content. Additionally, the exhibition of an occupy art show demonstrates occupy as a relic of the past nostalgic liberals long for in their comfortable institutions.
Can't you be a part of something instead of demanding to be the center of attention in everything? Humble yourself man.
The photos are wonderful, the show is stunning in these pics. I still haven't gotten in to see this show (two tries so far but no luck, not open), frustrating. Really love this article, grateful to RCNV for always being supportive of Occupy Santa Cruz and community organizers.
...my attempt at self-mocking humor. Ah, well.
If it helps, I got it, and I thought it was sort of funny, in a low-chuckle kind of way. I can see, however, that caricaturing what is already a caricature might be somewhat challenging. Whatever. A+ for effort. Glad to see you have the good humor to join the madding crowds in mocking yourself.
