The Precautionary Principle says something must be proven safe before it can be used - whether we're talking about cleaning or landscaping products, or pesticides, or fish ladders, or fracking. In this way, we’re preventing deaths instead of counting them; we’re protecting our community, our planet and our future.
On April 20 WILPF has invited Carolyn Raffensperger to speak on the Precautionary Principle and the Rights of Future Generations at the Cabrillo Forum, room 450, from 7 – 9 pm. As part of the Cabrillo Earth Week events, free complimentary parking available in all student lots for this speech.
Information is available at CabrilloGreenSteps.org for Earth Week events at Cabrillo from April 16-20.
Join us for a lively presentation that can really make a difference in our community. We can protect our rights, the rights of nature, and the rights of generations to come.
