St:ART Theatre is excited to announce our first Theatre of the Oppressed training. This 3-hour workshop will demonstrate the basic tools for using this educational and theatrical approach to social change. Based on the teachings of August Boal, Theatre of the Oppressed provides an opportunity to practice steps towards transforming your life, your community and humanity. This training will introduce fun, interactive games and techniques that promote discussion, community action and behavioral change.
No previous theatre experience necessary!
This workshop is great for teachers, advocates, students of English, community workers, non-profits, activists and anyone who cares about making their community better. While the possibilities are endless, we will provide you with several, immediately applicable tools to go forward in your work.
The cost is $40 and participants can Register at: http://start_theatre.eventbrite.com/
