Food Is a Right Not a Privilege Day of Compassion

We are having a global day to bring about public awareness of anti-food sharing laws which because they are little known are proliferating at an incredible rate. Two specific states Florida and Texas are among the worst offenders. These laws make it a criminal action punishable by arrest and fine for one individual to share food with another individual in need. These new laws make the only real way to completely eradicate hunger by food rescue a criminal action. We must have all these laws rescinded and stop any new laws of this nature from being passed. This is the purpose of this day. This is to be a global day of love and peace with food as its centerpiece.
