The picturesque Brickhouse Art Gallery (BAG), The Black United Fund of Sacramento Valley (BUFSV) and the Sacramento Area Black Caucus (SABC), are celebrating “Women’s History Month” and “Earth Day” with the premiere screening of the documentary “TAKING ROOT” will be held at the Brickhouse Art Gallery, 2837 36th Street, Sacramento, CA. 95817, Sunday April 1, 2012 from 4:00PM-6:00PM. TAKING ROOT” …tells the dramatic story of Kenyan Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Wangari Maathai whose simple act of planting trees grew into nationwide and international movements.The afternoon program will also feature a planting activity and ceremony.
