Noam Chomsky Endorses Green Party Presidential Candidate Jill Stein
MIT Professor Noam Chomsky has endorsed Jill Stein for President of the United States. He made his endorsement in a letter sent to Green Party members in advance of today's Massachusetts presidential primary.
The letter reads:
"I hope you’ll take the opportunity of the March 6th Green-Rainbow primary to cast a vote for resurgent democracy. A democracy that thrives outside of the Democratic and Republican Parties that are sponsored by and subservient to corporate America. And I hope you will consider joining me in supporting Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein – both with your vote and with a contribution to her campaign for people, peace and the planet.
As you know, popular anger at the political and economic institutions, and the subordination of the former to the latter, has reached historic heights. And for sound reasons. There could hardly be a better time to open up political debate to the just anger and frustrations of citizens who are watching the country move towards what might be irreversible decline while a tiny sector of concentrated wealth and power implements policies of benefit to them and opposed by the general population, whom they are casting adrift.
Jill Stein’s campaign is unifying the national Green Party, and ensuring that an urgently needed voice for democracy and justice will have a place on the ballot in the November election. Please join me in supporting Jill on March 6, and securing a voice for a peaceful, just green future in the presidential race."

Jill Stein, presidential candidate for the Green Party, is attempting to bring democracy and justice into the election. She encourages people to not throw their vote away to the Wall Street sponsored candidates.

If Noam endorses her, so will I since he is one of the most sane persons in the US. Thanks for helping me with the homework Professor. I will try to see if I am registered in time.
The endorsement was/is for the primary election in Massachusetts, supporting Ms Stein over other Green Rainbow candidates. Chomsky's statement seems to suggest an endorsement of the Greens over the Demopublicans, but it is an endorsement for having the strongest Green on the ballot to challenge the Republicrats, not necessarily an endorsement of Jill Stein in the General Election. If Chomsky does endorse her over Obama for Nov 2012, that might get her a few votes... or not.
Albert Einstein said we must have world government or we're finished. The UN was undermined by the US and nationalism; we had half of the world's wealth. Manufacturing quadrupled after WW2. Decolonialization led to more diversification. Us power began to decline. According to the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, we are three minutes before midnight. Governments have failed to deal with environmental catastrophes. There are nearly 300 million in India who barely have access to water. People can act together as Germany has done.
