$5-$15 with no one turned away for lack of funds
The RCNV hosts the Santa Cruz premiere of the documentary Fukushima Never Again to mark the first anniversary of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant meltdown. Filmmakers Steve Zeltzer and Kazmi Torii will screen their film and lead discussion afterwards. The documentary, which was completed in February of this year, features interviews with activists, labor leaders, government and nuclear utility officials as well as footage from the devastated areas, demonstrations and meetings concerned with the disaster. Tons of water are still being run through the damaged reactors in Fukushima to keep them cool enough to avoid a chain reaction.
