12:30 -- march to Bank of America, 2129 Shattuck
We will meet at the Military Recruiting Station at noon and then march to the Bank of America at 12:30 for a peaceful protest, where we will be joined by Occupella!
We will protest the recruitment of our children into the war machine, and then as part of the International Women's Day actions planned by Women Occupy, we will head over to the Bank of America where we will sing, dance, and voice our desires for a world where peace and economic justice prevail.
Bank of America is the biggest of the Big 5 banks and leads the pack in illegal foreclosure practices, faulty loans, and tax evasion. It has also invested more than any other bank in the coal industry, poisoning Appalachian communities and adding to global climate change.
Let's come together and take a stand against the war machine and the banks that got bailed out while we got sold out!
