Omali Yeshitela, Chairman of the African People's Socialist Party,
founder and leader of the Uhuru Movement
Special Guest: Elaine Brown, former Chairman of the Black Panther Party
1960's: the Black Panther Party was attacked militarily by the U.S.
government for building programs to feed the people.
1980's: The Uhuru Movement, under the leadership of the African
People's Socialist Party, rebuilt the Black Power Movement in Oakland
and brought programs for the people back to life.
Hear how you can join the Oakland Freedom Summer Project, a campaign
to bring community gardens and a commercial kitchen to East Oakland.
Food and Live Music.
$5-25 donation requested. No one turned away for lack of funds.

March 10th, 5 to 8pm at the Uhuru House - Occupation for
Self-Determination: African and Indigenous people have a right to own
and control their food productions and distribution systems.
