Oakland police advisors schedule Feb. 17 protest against Occupy Oakland

by Aunty Astroturf
The board members, Nancy Sidebotham and Angela Haller-Teixeira, from the Community Policing Advisory Board (CPAB) in Oakland, are at it again and are organizing Friday's Feb. 17, protest against Occupy Oakland. However, they fail to identify themselves or provide a contact number on the notice to the public for the protest against Occupy Oakland!
Oakland police advisors schedule Feb. 17 protest against Occupy Oakland

By Aunty Astroturf

Oakland -- The police support group calling itself "Stand for Oakland" has scheduled another protest against Occupy Oakland for Friday, February 17, starting at 4:30pm through 5:30pm.

Two board members, Nancy Sidebotham and Angela Haller-Teixeira, from the Community Policing Advisory Board (CPAB) in Oakland, are the lead organizers for Stand for Oakland, and are at it again organizing the next scheduled protest against Occupy Oakland.

As recent as Monday Feb. 6, Stand for Oakland was exposed as being a police support group during a protest against Occupy Oakland at Oakland City Hall, that was also organized by Nancy Sidebotham (CPAB), Angela Haller-Teixeira (CPAB), and Jill Broadhurst a District 4 Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) member.

The latest "Stand for Oakland" notice fails to mention any contact information, or any names, or information that reveals that the board members Nancy Sidebotham and Angela Haller-Teixeira of the Community Policing Advisory Board (CPAB) in Oakland, are the lead organizers for Stand for Oakland.

Oddly enough, Nancy Sidebotham (CPAB), has been falsely claiming that Stand for Oakland is a grassroots group, even though Oakland police advisors are the lead organizers for Stand for Oakland.

“Stand for Oakland” has announced its second gathering to be held this Friday.  The scheduled stand-in will be a silent, peaceful event; and all who want to bring unity to the Oakland community, and stand against the unnecessary violence, are encouraged to attend.

When: Friday at 4:30pm
Where: Frank Ogawa Plaza

The group, formed of area business owners and concerned citizens, made headlines last week as they gathered for a silent stand-in at the plaza to encourage peace and healing within the Oakland community.

The group has stated that its concern is for the recent surge in violence, vandalism and loss of business in the downtown and western regions of Oakland, issues that are said to have cost the city an estimated $5 million in security and lost revenue.

Stand for Oakland's intention is to encourage the silent majority of Oakland residents who have have been frustrated by the recent events to come and show solidarity for the city.  Come on down, this Friday.

Cop's advisors target Occupy Oakland?

I wonder how far are Oakland authorities willing to go with this astroturf group called Stand for Oakland, in the fight to keep Occupy Oakland from protesting against a corrupt system and for exercising their rights to free speech?

Please back up your claim of "the Community Policing Advisory Board (CPAB) in Oakland, was behind the attack on Occupy Oakland" with facts. I am the Chair of the Community Policing Advisory Board and we in no way have ever been or will ever be "behind an attack on Occupy Oakland." If you are trying to make a connection between the fact that Ms. Sidebotham and Ms. Haller are part of the CPAB, therefore the CPAB is behind an attack, you are completely incorrect. There are 13 other members of the board besides Ms. Sidebotham and Ms. Haller and none of them founded Stand for Oakland.
The members of the Community Policing Advisory Board are responsible!

Dear Krista Gulbransen

I appreciate it that you admit that members of the Community Policing Advisory Board have been involved in the attack against Occupy Oakland, for their political activities.

However, the fact remains that you have not proven that the Community Policing Advisory Board (CPAB) has not been involved in the attack against Occupy Oakland, as a direct result of their political activities.

Therefore you and CPAB, are totally responsible for the actions of CPAB's members against the political activities of Ocupy Oakland, as you are well aware...
