As part of the "Ann Lucas Lecture Series in Law & Justice", on March 1st, 2012 the Department of Justice Studies at San Jose State University will host a debate with David Garland (New York University) on his recent book "Peculiar Institution: America's Death Penalty in an Age of Abolition" (2010).
The debate will also feature Jonathan Simon (UC Berkeley Law), Mona Lynch (UC Irvine) and Andrew Love (Lawyer/SAFE California Campaign to Abolish the Death Penalty).
The symposium, free and open to the public, will take place on March 1st, 2012, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in the Engineering Building, Room ENG 285/287.
