VIOGNIER RESTAURANT INTRODUCES 2012 OPPORTUNITIES TO STUDY WITH CHEF PRESTON DISHMAN AT DRAEGER’S COOKING SCHOOL
Chef Dishman Will Host a Variety of Cooking Classes with Topics Ranging from the Vine to the Sea—All Complete With an Educational Slant
New in 2012, Viognier’s Chef Preston Dishman will be teaching four cooking classes at Draeger’s Cooking School, conveniently located adjacent to the restaurant. Whether it’s learning how to prepare cuisine straight from the sea, the garden, or inspired by the vine—these upcoming offerings are not to be missed.
Located in downtown San Mateo above Draeger’s Market, Viognier is named for the grape variety originating from the Northern Rhône region of France. Chef Dishman blends classic French technique with California’s bounty of seasonal ingredients and supports local farmers and sustainable products whenever possible. The menu is complemented by a selection of 1100 wines emphasizing California and Europe.
Wild Farm Garden Tour

The Wild Farm Garden Tour is the perfect event to jump-start the spring season. Dishman will lead guests in making Sea Scallops with roasted cauliflower and caper vinaigrette, Roasted Berkshire Pork over braised greens, among other super fresh recipes. Registered students will receive detailed location information via email the week prior to the class. Students are responsible for their own transportation from the farm and Draeger’s Cooking School.
