$1.49 for each additional minute

In addition AT&T California charges $3.00 per call for connecting collect calls placed by inmates from Alameda County jails.

State and federal taxes and fees may be added to the cost of collect calls, although AT&T California's rate operators are unable to provide information on the amounts of these taxes and fees.

These are the rates for collect calls placed using AT&T California's automated system. This is the same automated system that can be accessed by dialing 1-800-CALL-ATT.

Operator assisted collect calls are billed at significantly higher rates.

These rates apply for collect calls received and accepted by residential landline account holders only. Calls received by business landline account holders may be subject to different rates.

Please also note that only AT&T POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) landlines can receive and accept collect calls.

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) telephone services do not permit collect calls.

Examples of VoIP services that do not permit collect calls are AT&T U-verse, Xfinity Voice (formerly Comcast Digital Voice) and Vonage.

On a final note, please also be aware that none of the cellular telephone providers here in California allow the receipt of collect calls.
