Sign up for Understanding Globalization at College of Marin.
Taught by Robert Ovetz, Ph.D., the course will explore the causes of the global economic meltdown, the Arab Revolt, Occupy Wall St. and the Tea Party. Among the global topics we will study include colonialism, trade, multi-national corporations, debt, the environmental crises, endless wars, terrorism, the rise of the Latin American left, and China. This multi-disciplinary course will include readings, lectures, class discussion, games, videos and music to focus on what the individual needs to know about globalization to be an engaged citizen in a turbulent global world.
The course begins Wednesday, January 25th and will meet every Wednesday from 6:40-9:30pm. The course transfers to CSU and UC and can be taken Pass/No Pass or for a grade. Visit http://www.marin.edu to register or contact Robert at rfovetz[at]riseup.net
