Attention all those supporters of ending the Occupation of Palestine-
Omar Barghouti, founding member of Palestinian Civil Society Boycott Divestment and Sanctions and the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, will be speaking in Santa Cruz on Sunday January 8, 2012 in the Fellowship Hall of the First Congregational Church, 900 High St, in Santa Cruz.
The talk with the author of Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions: The Global Struggle for Palestinian Human Rights will begin
at 7 p.m. with discussion and booksigning to follow.
Omar Barghouti is an author, researcher and commentator who is devoted to upholding international law and respecting human rights. He is a leading proponent of using boycott, divestment and sanctions to free Palestine from Israeli control and is often featured on Democracy Now, Electronic Intifada and other prominent outlets. Of Palestinian heritage, Barghouti was raised in Qatar and Egypt and now makes his home in the West Bank.
There is no charge but donations will be gratefully accepted.
