Location Details:

Tuesday, December 6, 2011 and Tuesday, December 13, 2011
In the wake of the Occupy and tar sands protests, opportunities for personal action can at once seem enormously expansive and, at times, overwhelming and even vague. But taking action on climate change doesn't demand marching to the Port or encircling the White House every day. Climate action can begin from the moment you wake up -- in what you choose to eat for breakfast, how you get to work, and how you use your knowledge and interest to influence the choices of your family, friends, businesses and government.
Join the Ecology Center and a small group of community members as we minimize your greenhouse gas emissions and maximize your sense of community In this two-session series, you will:
Receive information and ideas for taking action to reduce your ecological footprint, facilitate community building, and drive political action on climate change. Create a measurable action plan (the scope is entirely up to you!)
Benefit from the support, wisdom, and experience of fellow participants, and the expertise of the Ecology Center
By participating in both sessions, you'll be given free membership to the Ecology Center for a year if you have not previously been a member.
An RSVP and attendance at both sessions is requested. Write to debra [at] ecologycenter.org to sign up.
Time: 7pm - 9pm.
Location: Ecology Center, 2530 San Pablo Ave, near Dwight Way, Berkeley.
Info: 510-548-2220 ext. 240, debra [at] ecologycenter.org, http://www.ecologycenter.org/climatechange/.
