Faces of Occupy SF
Solidarity with occupiers and the community working for a real revolution! Photos taken over the weekend of November 19 and 20th by Anna Hennings.
Demonstrators at Occupy SF recently announced: "We are the 99% and we are here. We will not be silenced, we will not be removed, and we will not be remiss in our moral calling and natural right to a more just and equitable society."
Protesters said over the weekend that they will not be deterred by the constant threat of a raid. Some said they are keeping fewer of their possessions at camp, for fear of losing them if police carry out a stated plan to "clear out the encampment". Others said that living at the Occupy camp has given them a stronger commitment to the movement.
Informal workshops and gatherings are held throughout each day. Entertainment, while sporadic, is picking up; occupiers are enjoying drum circles and impromptu guitar performances. Keep an eye on the Occupy SF website's calendar. Performers well known to the activist community are talking "show time"!

BOYCOTT Black Friday. STRIKE Monday, December 12th
Do not go to work on 12/12, Do not buy on 12/12, Gather together in Occupy Camps on 12/12, March and Protest.
Join this strike for all we hold dear. Too much is at stake. Pass the word along...
See http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2011/11/22/18700779.php for more info on strike to be held in solidarity with Longshoremen:
"On December 12, the occupy movements in different cities will stage mass mobilizations to march on the ports, create community pickets, and effectively shutdown the hubs of commerce, in the same fashion that Occupy Oakland shut down the Port of Oakland on November 2nd, the day of our general strike."
Some of Our talking points:
1. Break the Banks: If they're too big to fail then they're too big to exist. Our words of power: anti-trust laws...re-enact the Glass-Steagal act...No Monopolies In Our Country...Separate the Commercial (99%) from the Investment (1%) Banks, We must not allow ourselves to be at the mercy of their derivatives traders!!
2. Derivatives trading is the 1%'s way of combining work with fun/gambling/betting. Say No More to our economic woes: eliminate transactions from mega bank commercial banking.
3. Charge for each Wall Street transaction. It's So Obvious.
