On November 8th, 2011, four high school students from Renaissance High School went to the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds to protest against the way the Circus treats their elephants.
Renaissance High School student Roseeva Smith organized a protest for students from the school to come support the animals at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds November 8, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Students attending the protest Chelsea Linderman, Emanuel Mercado, and Avery Frederico joined other protesters from the bay area that were following the Circus around to their performances. Many events occurred during the duration they attended.
