Occupy Oakland Eviction Notice
A speaker at Occupy San Francisco Friday afternoon 10/21 reports that Occupy Oakland just reported receiving an eviction notice from the city. (1:08)
Listen now:
From the information I got at Occupy Oakland Friday afternoon, two notices have been received. One asserts it illegal for anyone to participate in "overnight lodging" (Oakland for "encampment") starting immediately. Some of the notice reads, "You do not have permission to lodge overnight in Frank Ogawa Plaza. You must remove all tents, sleeping bags, tarps, cooking facilities and equipment and any other lodging material from the Plaza immediately. Your continued use of the Plaza for overnight lodging will subject you to arrest."
Some type of a ten-day notice was also received, telling the occupiers they need to move out within that time period.

There have been no written time limits on number of days remaining as far as I know. There have been recent warnings to occupiers that those within the park after 10pm are subject to arrest.
I'm guessing the 10-day thing came from this language from the first notice to vacate on 10/20:
"During the past 10 days, City officials have provided written documentation—handed out in person and
posted on the City’s web site—outlining specific public health, safety, and crowd control issues to be
addressed by demonstrators. We believe that after 10 days, the City can no longer uphold public health and safety."

There have been three daily notices since then that threaten arrest, like this one from today: http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2011/10/23/18694636.php.
