Oakland Occupation March Photos
For the immediate benefit of those who do not use flickr these are highlights from Saturday.
Hello, I have been doing photo-documentary since before the Berkeley Oak Grove tree sit, however nothing previous to that has had quite that scope. I've noticed a lot of misplaced animosity towards independent photographers lately, especially by people who are very intoxicated. It seems to me animosity in general at the Plaza is perpetrated by the same people who smoke ganja all day long, start fights, and make women and others feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. DRUGS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE REVOLUTION - Leave your addictions and bad karma or go home! The marches at least seem to bring love and support to an occupation overrun with thugs and violent behavior.

During the longest urban Tree-sit in US history we managed to limit drugs and totally ban alcohol on site. If you wanted to consume alcohol you did it off site and I do not want to make marijuana a issue as it is basically legal but know when moderation is a good thing. This is a political movement and not a party or a rave. Ah-ho RunningWolf Blackfeet Elder and Pipe Carrier.
