Police comb Oakland's Snow Park adjacent to occupation encampment with batons drawn.

by Darin Bauer
Like out of a Mel Brooks film or similar to The Dead Kennedy's song "Police Truck," many police officers visited Snow Park in their cars, late Wednesday, early Thursday, with batons out and flashlights they were to encroach upon the encampment.
I am told that upon the arrival of the media, police "harnessed" their batons, and "combed" the grass from the south west corner to the public restrooms, and then back again. Word at the occupy encampment at Snow Park is that the media vans listen to police CB and/or respond to phone calls from the encampment. Word also is that the police action was independently motivated and/or made to be seen as a "test run." Good old boys are gonna go out and beat up protesters, but really they remind us of the Space Balls scene when the desert is combed for droids. Word is that there is a morning edition that came out on Thursday from this event, please post as soon as possible to that effect.
