The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) IS the bad guys. It is the place where corporations come together with legislators from around the United States in order to draw up the laws that will continue to benefit the corporate world (the 1%). SB1070 and sentencing laws among so much more "model" legislation has come from ALEC. ALEC is set to meet in Phoenix, AZ on November 30, 2011 and a call has been put forth to resist and shut down their meetings.
Here in the Bay Area, we will be holding an info session and organizing meeting to discuss solidarity actions and joining the mobilization.
