OccupySacramento protests at Jail; Mass arrests expected Saturday night
The repression by the Sacramento Police Department continues. Late Friday night, one person was arrested standing quietly at the entrance to the park with a sign that read simply: "What about the 1st Amendment"? He was taken to jail.

SACRAMENTO, Ca. – OccupySacramento marched through the streets of Sacramento Saturday night, ending up with a rally at the County Jail, where 20 OccupySac demonstrators Thursday and one Friday were temporarily held after being arrested this week.
Mass arrests are expected Saturday night at Midnight when the city attempts to close Chavez Park.
Police changed the time from 11 pm because they hope that news media will not be able to watch the arrests because 12 midnight is past deadlines.
OccupySac is in its third straight day of occupation. About 500 people attended Thursday, Oct. 6 on the first day, and slightly more Oct. 7. Several hundred more showed up Saturday.
Late Friday night, one person was arrested standing quietly at the entrance the park with a sign that read simply: "What about the 1st Amendment"? He was taken to jail.
Thursday 20 people were arrested around midnight for not leaving the park as ordered by police. They were jailed for 6-12 hours after being charged with misdemeanor "failure to disperse." They refused to leave the city's Cesar Chavez Park after an 11 PM curfew, calling it unconstitutional.
