The description of this event on the occupyoakland.org calendar says that the mayors of Oakland, Richmond and Berkeley will be speaking. Has the General Assembly approved this? I think there should be a discussion among the occupiers about whether elected officials are welcome in Oscar Grant Plaza before they decide to invite themselves. Maybe that could be on the agenda for tonight's assembly?

IF those Democratic Mayors do speak they shouldn't be allowed to get away with vague Progressive platitudes . People should ask if they are demanding a end not only to all Home foreclosures but evictions of renters . Also do they supporting the Unionization of Bank workers ?
(The US is the only country in the advanced Capitalist world that doesn't have a Bank workers Union )
And are they for bringing ALL the troops, Mercs, etc Home ?
