Occupy SF Getting Stronger on Market Street
Photos of the Occupy SF encampment at 101 Market St. in San Francisco.
On October 2, 2011 I ventured down to 101 Market Street in San Francisco to cover the OccupySF events that have begun to pick up momentum. What did I find? A group of inspired, peaceful, and intelligent people who are willing to sacrifice almost anything to get their point across. A point that has been voiced loudly for almost a year now, beginning in Egypt, then in Libya, Wall Street, Chicago, Los Angeles, and now OccupySF. Being a photojournalist my strongest voice is through my pictures, so here are a few to inform and inspire.

As you must have seen the Fleet Week banners on the Embarcadero by now, all paid for with our tax dollars, please add to this week's events for Occupy San Francisco to protest Fleet Week and the Navy's Blue Death's illegal low flights over heavily populated San Francisco, wasting tax dollars and oil, causing terrible pollution and noise, all to glorify war as this is all an admitted military recruiting show. The reason we are so poor is because the war machine eats up our entire budget; we cannot have guns and butter. The greatest profits are in war, in particular, oil and munitions, and that is why the capitalist class and the upper middle class, the 1% who oppose us, promote war. You will win the hearts and minds of the overwhelming majority of the people of San Francisco if you protest the Navy's Blue Death and Fleet Week. They will be roaring over our heads and yours Thursday through Sunday, Columbus Genocide Weekend, flying illegally over land. The noise will literally shatter your nerves. You could march on the Embarcadero from Market to Bay Street, protesting the whole show.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
