Homeless activist "Curbhugger" Chris Doyon is back in town, recently released from jail in San Jose, under indictment for being part of the Anonymous hacker group which allegedly brought down the Santa Cruz County website for half an hour last December.
See "Chris Doyon faces Federal Charges for Cyber-attack in Santa Cruz County" at http://peacecamp2010.blogspot.com/2011/09/chris-doyon-faces-federal-charges-for.html .
On September 29th, Doyon was O.R.ed from federal custody and returned to Santa Cruz to continue his struggle for homeless rights which he spearheaded the first month and a half of PeaceCamp2010.
He will be updating us on the cyberstruggle for justice, the fight for homeless civil rights here and elsewhere, and the significance of his federal case.
He will also be speaking out in support of those arrested or cited for the peaceful PeaceCamp2010 protest last year--in particular, Linda Lemaster, who faces a hearing in October. See "SC Sleeping Ban Struggle: Judge Accepts Considering "Writ of Habeus Corpus"" at http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2011/09/20/18690858.php .
Also up for consideration: new strategies of resistance.
