Date:
Thursday, September 22, 2011
Time:
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Event Type:
Panel Discussion
Organizer/Author:
Tom Gallagher
Location Details:
Unitarian Universalist Center, Martin Luther King Room

1187 Franklin Street (corner Geary Blvd).

A panel discussion to explore the possibilities in the coming election. Is the Democratic Party representing what the majority of the people of this country want according to all credible polls: Jobs, more financial equality, end to wars, support for education.

Is it useful to discuss the possibility of a presidential candidate to challenge Obama in the primaries of 2012? How is it most effective to put pressure on the Democratic Party to represent its former values, its commitment to the working people of this country, to a social compact that supports universal health care, security in old age, support for the infra-structure of this country, universal education? Come and join the discussion.
