SF Forum-SF Adachi's Pension Scheme & Mayor Ed Lee's "Consensus" Deal and SF Public Worker
What These Initiatives Mean To SF City Workers And Retirees
There is a major national scapegoating campaign against public workers. In San Francisco, union supported politicians pushed Proposition G which eliminated collective bargaining on working conditions for MTA Muni TWU 250 A transit operators and workers.
The latest attacks are the Adachi initiative funded by billionaire Michael Moritz and the Ed Lee initiative backed by billionaire Warren Hellman, all the Board Of Supervisors and most of the union officials in San Francisco. This forum will provide an in depth analysis of what these initiatives will mean for SF city workers and retirees for their retirements and health care benefits.
Speakers:
Kay Walker, Vice Chair Of SEIU West Bay Retirees Chapter
Bea Cardenas Duna, Retiree from Department of Child Support Services
Lois Scott, Past president of IFPTE Local 21
Doug Bias, San Francisco City Painter
Cathy Helton, ran and file SEIU 1021 member, activist during Prop B
Dorian Maxwell, TWU 250 A MTA Muni Operator
Sylvia Alvarez-Lynch, SF City Worker MTA-Muni
