Thanksgiving in August is a 12-hour cook-a-thon to raise money and food for the San Francisco Food Bank.

St. Luke's Church, Chef Karl Wilder, and CHEFS (Conquering Homelessness through Employment in Food Services) are presenting this the event. Just bring a monetary donation or a non-perishable food donation for the Food Bank.

There will be a food tasting every half hour and a wine tasting beginning at 5 p.m.

Guests will include Lucy Jane Bledsoe, author; Alan May, artist; Laurie R. King, novelist; Danny Bowein, chef at Mission Chinese, David Lynch, wine director at Quince; and Melanie Vigh, chef at Guerra Meats.
