BART: No More Cell Phone Censorship
Take action: Join the ACLU in telling the transit agency – No More Cell Phone Censorship on BART.
BART is the first known government agency in the United States to block cell service in order to disrupt a political protest. This is unacceptable and should not be tolerated.
Shutting down access to mobile communications is the wrong response to political protests, whether it’s halfway around the world or right here in San Francisco.
The idea that the government can shut down an entire communications network just because it doesn’t like what people are saying on it is an insult to our constitutional protections for free speech.
Take action: join the ACLU in telling the transit agency – No More Cell Phone Censorship on BART.
