Bill will describe the international grassroots effort to challenge the power of the fossil fuel industry and show how local action fits into this planetary challenge.
Bill McKibben is the author of a dozen books about the environment. His latest book, EAARTH, will be for sale at the event. Time Magazine called him 'the planet's best green journalist' and the Boston Globe said in 2010 that he was 'probably the country's most important environmentalist.'
Tickets are $15.00 General, $12.00 Peace Center, MDUUC and Friendly Favors Members, and $5.00 Students. Wheelchair Accessible. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
