"Disband the BART police, Cops, Pigs, Murderers" are just some of the messaging protesters chanted at BART personnel and BART police on July 11, 2011 in San Francisco.

Community groups including Oakland for Justice organized and held a protest in San Francisco's Civic Center BART station in response to another shooting of a transit user by BART police. Charles Hill was on the Civic Center train platform when he was shot 3 times. He later died. This is the second shooting of a transit user by BART police within the last 3 years.

Protesters swarmed the Civic Center BART station and shut it down. There were scuffles between protesters, police and transit riders.

IMHO, BART should really think about fixing their police because commuters will now also suffer.

§Who's the ones in the yellow/green vests ?

Does anyone know who's in the yellow/green vests ? They're not cops ,they appear to be Unarmed and many of them are too old . One corporate media report said they were '' BART officials'' but if so i suspect that if so they're pretty low ranking .
Bosses usually don't do their own dirty work ! That's one of the perks of being a boss.
But does anyone know ?

Those are BART employees - station agents, facilities people, etc - pressed into extra duty on special occcasions.
