Aikido operates on a spectrum from sharply practical martial awareness to metaphysical practices of sensing the more subtle energies within and around us. We’ll focus on re-aligning ourselves with the powerful natural movements we were born with, and apply that cultivation of personal integrity to connecting with the movements of other bodies that "invade" our space, redirecting aggressive energy with the potential for not inflicting harm, but strongly "suggesting" reconsideration. AND, maybe the best of all- we'll learn to fall down really well; it saved me when I ran into the side of a turning car while flying downhill on my bike! Wear comfortable, sturdy clothing that you don't mind rolling around on the grass in!
