Scott Martelle in his important new work looks at the massive witchhunts in the US more than 60 years ago. These witchhunts, particularly against the Communist Party, shaped the labor movement and American consciousness. The primary goal of these anti-communsit witchhunts was to destroy the labor movement of the 1930s and 1940s, and it was prepetrated by Democrats and Republicans together. Martelle looks at the trials and the hysteria and how it affected the people of the United States. He also looks at parallels today in the attacks on free speech, immigrants and Muslim Americans, particularly since the 9/11 Inside Job.

This is posted in solidarity with all who resisted the horrifying anti-Communist hysteria that was simply replaced by the anti-Muslim hysteria after the end of the Soviet Union in 1991 and the 9/11 Inside Job as the pretext for war and fascism to maximize profits of the capitalist class, the primary goal of capitalism. It is also posted in memory of Julius & Ethel Rosenberg, executed June 19, 1953, for the false and phony charge of "conspiracy to commit atomic espionage" so as to make Jew, Communist and traitor synonymous to justify Wars of Anti-Communism, just as Nazi Germany perpetrated Wars of Anti-Communism for the same private profit goal.
