Meet at Harry Bridges Plaza, Front of Ferry Building, middle of Embarcadero, foot of Market Street, San Francisco. Embarcadero BART/Muni Metro.

Join a walk with labor historian Louis Prisco, retired ILWU longshoreman Jack Heyman and others. We will look at the causes of the 1934 General Strike. why it was successful, how the strike was organized and the relevance of that strike to working people today. We will also view some of the key historical sites in this important US labor struggle which is the centerpiece of this Laborfest. Bring your lunch with you and wear good walking shoes.
