The South Bay Committee Against Political Repression (SBCAPR) is sponsoring a showing of the film Walkout about the 1968 High School walkouts by Chicano students in Los Angeles. Carlos Montes and other members of the Brown Berets played a supporting role in the students struggle. The students had to deal with undercover police spies and political repression of organizers, much as activists are facing today. Admission is free, donations for Carlos Montes legal defense accepted.
