Assisting Spiritually Gifted Children-
Do you know a child plagued with nightmares, afraid of the dark, or sleeping alone?
It may not be what is assumed to be normal childhood fears. Many children see, hear, or sense energy; some are aware of and even interact with spirits.
There's little support for such children and their families in our culture.
Historically these children were revered, honored, and encouraged to use such gifts. More recently our society has met these exceptional children with misguided fear. This fear has emotionally wounded children, or in the best case scenarios, just ignored them, so taught them to deny their truths. Often children with these gifts struggle to hide or suppress this intricate part of their being. This can cause undesired effects in their lives, including struggles in school, relationships, and in teen years, drug and alcohol abuse.
There are many ways to help these gifted children through their unique challenges. In this lecture tools will be given to help anyone who interacts with such a child, or suspects they do, to encourage, celebrate, and assist these special children in a society that has not yet embraced the knowledge of how to do so.
The speaker-
Shereen Manalani- As a child, regularly interacted with spirits and was very aware of energy. She has personally experienced the challenges and fear than can accompany such gifts. After many years of struggling to ignore her nature, she has found the tools needed to embrace her gifts and share her truth with others.
Shereen has worked with thousands of children as a teacher, administrator, dance instructor, and through the arts in education programs she's brought to dozens of schools. She has provided trainings to teachers and families in educational arts, positive discipline, classroom management, and other topics. She also counsels and works with adults who are recovering from the traumas associated with having their gifts denied, or even attacked, when they were spiritually gifted children.
