EVA GOLINGER, ATTORNEY AND BEST-SELLING AUTHOR, on her US tour. Golinger has been uncovering US interventionist policies for several years, but Wikileaks has added a new dimension to her investigative work on US intervention and foreign policy toward Venezuela. Leaked reports and communiques show superpower arrogance and manipulation in Venezuela and all over the world.
Shortly after the 2004 coup attempt, she obtained top-secret CIA documents demonstrating prior knowledge and complicity in the coup. Using the Freedom of Information Act, she has found proof of US government funding for groups opposed to Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. And among the books she's written is "The Chavez Code: Cracking US Intervention in Venezuela." She will talk about her latest discoveries, including how the US government financed opposition media in Venezuela and how, for years, the US State Department and aid agencies have tried to develop youth opposition in Cuba and Venezuela to provoke "regime change."
