The walk's profound message is this: hasn't the privatization of land values alienated many human beings from the social blessings of community? It is the growth of community that generates land values, and yet these values are overwhelmingly privatized, leading to the errant creation of debt against land values which has so pulverized economic and social opportunity in America.
