STOP THE ATTACK ON BAY AREA PORT WORKERS!
Pacific Maritime Association, Drop All Charges!
An Injury to One is an Injury to All!
ILWU Local 10 closed the Ports of Oakland and San Francisco on April 4, 2011, in solidarity with the "We Are One" national day of solidarity with the workers of Wisconsin.
Local 10 has a long history of such solidarity actions. They have in the past closed the ports for Justice for Oscar Grant, on May Day 2008 against the war in Iraq, for freedom for Mumia Abu Jamal, and against South African Apartheid.
The employers association, the Pacific Maritime Association, has filed a law suit against Local 10 to prevent them from engaging in solidarity job actions in the future.
ILWU Local 10 is always there for the people. Now we must stand in solidarity with them. Their strength is job action and their strength is the most powerful weapon the people's movements have in the Bay Area.
