We all know a good hearty soup in winter can help us kick a cold. Or a spicy sauce might clear our sinuses. Did you know that bitter foods can help stimulate digestion? Or that seaweed and cilantro can help remove heavy metals from the body? Join GFE guest instructor Ali Budner and come learn some basics about the medicinal properties of the spices, herbs, and vegetables in your kitchen, garden, or local farmer's market. We'll prepare a dish together and have a bite to eat at the end! You'll get a handout with several delicious medicinal recipes to try out at home. This workshop is $15, although no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Pre-registration is required. To pre-register or for more information please visit http://www.gardenfortheenvironment.org.
